I don't own a single Easter decoration but this year, I wanted to have some kind of
non-edible representation of the holiday. So my daughter and I made a few
giant easter eggs. I hadn't done paper mache since childhood and it great fun to get messy! And I loved that the shape of the balloon was the shape of the egg...so easy! There's still
plenty of time for you to make some too! Here are some photo directions:

Get your supplies ready: paper mache paste, (I like
this recipe) strips of newspaper and balloons

Cover each egg with the paste coated newspaper strips. Using a bowl keeps the egg from rolling and works well for drying too.

Paint and decorate your eggs.

Hang your giant eggs. (I threaded clear fishing line through the tops)
