Bee Stings and Pennies

Thanks to Korie for sending in this neat tip on treating bee stings:

"If you get stung by a bee, apply a penny to the sting for 15 minutes to take the pain away."

I googled this tip and sure enough, it has worked for lots and lots of people. I'll still run as fast as I can and hope my sting-free status remains the same. But it's nice knowing I usually have a penny close by just in case.

I was lucky enough to have read that before we went on our vacation to the beach. My 6 year old daughter Velzy got stung on the beach. I didn't even panic. I just got a penny put it on (with much skepticism) and within two minutes she was back to building sandcastles.
I was pleasantly surprised when it worked!
