Before their Christmas celebration, my mother-in-law would have her boys choose several toys that were in good condition, to give away. I'm always impressed with those who include their children in the toy cleanse, as this situation can get a bit dramatic (tears, shouting, clinging...).
Most of us probably have or toy or fourteen that we could pass on this year. I have a feeling a lot more families will be in need during the Giving Season. So, if you are brave enough, sit your kids down and explain the realities of giving to those in need. Hopefully, your pep talk with be a great motivation for them to give and share nicely!
