*grab a clean, clear container with a lid (empty soda bottle or canning jar are great ones)
*fill 1/3 full with water
*let child choose food coloring, and add several drops
*with lid on (tightly) shake to mix in
*remove lid, and fill til nearly full with vegetable oil
*replace cap (you can rub some glue on the lid rings if you would like a "for certain" seal)

i am crazy excited to make one of these, or 4! my sister lizzy made something like this with my 3 older kids during my last pregnancy, and she added "treasures" from around the house e.g. bead bracelets, glitter, shiny stuff etc. i highly recommend the glue on the lid plan. really, really highly.

super fun idea! I think I'll use small water bottles to make it easier for my 2 year old to handle :)
Another suggestion to go with this idea, use baby oil instead of vegetable oil.
