Make It Don't Buy It: Vegetable add in's
I have to say, some days the idea of chopping vegetables for a dinner turns me off entirely to making the dinner. I even have a handy chopping tool! To speed things up on these low motivation days, I try to keep bags of ready chopped veggies on hand. So, pick a day to chop, shred and freeze. Squash, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, carrots...all these freeze nicely for soups, stews, and sauces.

I actually have a rule to process vegetables BEFORE I put them away. I put all my groceries away and then I wash my fruits and veggies, slice and chop, then put them away. For things like carrots and celery, I chop some and make sticks out of some. Everything goes in sealed glass containers so I can see it in the fridge.
I hadn't thought of the grating cheese part. I'll have to add that to my system.
This really saves time.
I love this and hope to incorporate a system like it. I will probably use freezer bags instead of glass.
